Shea Moisture
Protect The Crown
It’s not easy for Black people to work in spaces where the power of their hair is not appreciated or respected. Shea Moisture wants to fix this problem at the root. We’re aiming to help Black women flourish while also protecting the history and identity they hold within their crowns.
Stay In Style
Black hair is precious and beautiful so we’re going to help preserve it. We’re partnering with Dyson to install styling tools, accessories and Shea Moisture products in women’s restrooms throughout workplaces in major cities.
Coronation Package
We're sending coronation packages to newborn black girls to celebrate their crowns. The package will be filled with items that reinforce how proud of their hair they should be.
Loc’d In
Our hairstyles are professional, even though corporations try & debate that. Shea moisture is going to make it official. We're creating a handbook of black hairstyles for Schools, Hollywood, & corporate America. As well as the physical book, we'll also post these hairstyles on Linkedin to reach the masses.
The Queen’s Guard
Shea wants to send a message to people who try to police, touch, or appropriate black hair. We’re finding ignorant tweets about black hair and responding with educational hard hitting responses.
Free Fro All
Corporate America rarely considers the preparation and care it takes to adequately capture black people on camera. Shea’s One-stop headshots will bring together black hairstylists and photographers in major cities to give free stylings and headshots to black professionals.
